"The roots of modern Freemasonry are firmly planted in Scotland!"

A bold claim perhaps, but one which demands consideration. It would be false modesty, indeed, for any proponent or participant in Scottish Freemasonry to idly allow others to make such a claim. This ancient, small, Kingdom has had a disproportionate input to Freemasonry as it is practiced today. Having the oldest Masonic records (including Lodge Minutes) in the WORLD! It is clear that, from whatever accidents of fate and history, Scotland IS the nexus of the various Masonic threads and strands. A 'browse' of the pages below will only confirm that which, at first, appears to be an idle boast !
