A seminar on the maintence and use of Scottish Masonic records...
The state of Scottish Masonic records, an invaluable source of information regarding the history and heritage of the Scottish Craft, is of great concern. In order to discuss this issue in detail a seminar has been bee arranged for Saturday, 14th March at the McCance Lecture Theatre in central Glasgow under the auspices of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Glasgow. The Grand Lodge of Scotland would like to take the opportunity to thank Brother William Gilmour for hosting this event. In order to make the seminar viable all Provincial Grand Lodges and Daughter Lodges in Scotland are invited to send representatives. A letter was issued to all Provincial Grand Lodges on 31st October. To download a copy of that letter click here or on other links in this paragraph. To download a copy of the proposed programme (a .pdf file) for the seminar (subject to change) click here. In order to attend this seminar tickets must be pre-booked (£3.00 each) and you can download a copy of the booking form by clicking here or on pervious links. To download a map of central Glasgow showing the site of the McCance Lecture Theatre (walking distance from Queen Street railway station) click here or on previous links. The Seminar was a great success and has led to requests for more information and perhaps another seminar. Please keep watching the 'News' pages for more information. |
