Applications for Grants for Individuals
Applications for financial assistance can be considered for members, or widows of members who need support; and for dependants whose parents are unable to work or are deceased.
Eligibility
The Freemason on whose membership the application has been lodged will require to have been registered in the books of Grand Lodge for at least five years and have been a Qualified Member of a Daughter Lodge during the five years immediately preceding the date of the application for benevolence, or, if deceased at that date, he will require to have been so qualified during the five years immediately preceding the date of his death. In certain extraordinary circumstances a case may be considered where the preceding criteria is not fulfilled.
Applications may be made for financial assistance via the Lodge with which there is, or was, a connection. If applicants are unsure about the Lodge details or require further guidance, they should contact the Benevolence and Care Department at Freemasons’ Hall.
