Christmas Message from the Grand Master Mason

Brethren,

As we enter Christmas week, may I take this opportunity to wish each one of you, and your families, a very happy, relaxed and enjoyable Christmas and likewise, offer my best wishes for a very healthy, successful and happy year ahead.

The past year has been a very productive one as we start to see the strategy take shape. I would like to place on record my sincere thanks to all those who serve on the Governance and Strategy Board, the Standing Committees, Sub-Committees and Working Parties for the tremendous amount of work they have done and the commitment they have shown. I am confident that their efforts will bring the rewards and results that we are striving toward.

The year ahead promises to be busy with five Provincial Installations, six District Installations, fifteen rededication ceremonies plus another five or six important engagements including meetings with UGLE and the Grand Lodge of Ireland.

I also look forward to continuing our work with Prostate Scotland, the Armed Services Covenant, The Scottish Masonic Scholarship on the topic of Burns and Freemasonry, and our Literacy Champions. All excellent initiatives that will enhance our public image and assist in meeting our strategic objectives.

At this time of the year, it is important to take time to thank Grand Secretary and all staff in 96 George Street who do a magnificent job keeping the wheels turning. There have been a number of staff changes in the past year and there will be a few more in the year ahead. I am sure you will wish to join me in bidding them all good health to continue the work they do on our behalf.

May you all have the spirit of Christmas, which is Peace, the gladness of Christmas, which is Hope, and the heart of Christmas which is Love and that 2025 will, through the values of Freemasonry, see that Peace, Hope and Love make the world a happier and healthier place.
