The Grand Lodge of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of Scotland represents Scottish Freemasonry, home of the Oldest Masonic Heritage in the World.
Our Districts Structure
The Grand Master Mason commissions District Grand Masters to assist him
in the overseeing the Lodges in the 28 Districts worldwide. Every
District Grand Master represents the Grand Master Mason and co-ordinates
between the Lodges of his District and Grand Lodge in Edinburgh. On August 5th, 1747, the Grand Lodge of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of Scotland issued the first Charter to an overseas Lodge with the title of “Union Lodge from Drummond Kilwinning from Greenock”, No. 59, situated at Aleppo, Syria.
