Victorian Masonic Centre

The Grand Master Mason, Brother Dr Joseph J Morrow, was warmly welcomed into the Victorian Masonic Centre, Melbourne on Wednesday 24th of July by MW Brother Anthony Bucca the Grand Master of Victoria.

The state, with a population of just under 7 million, has 273 masonic Lodges and around 7500 members.

Freemasons there have been active in the local community for over 170 years and were instrumental in the development of Melbourne.

They also established the Royal Freemasons Homes of Victoria in 1867 for the palliative care of the elderly, and the Freemasons Hospital in 1937 to care for Freemason members and their families.

The Victorian Masonic Centre is their headquarters and Brother Morrow, who was in town to celebrate the Melbourne Tartan Festival, was given a most excellent guided tour by Brother Bucca.
